Conflict Management Services

Conflict is an opportunity for change

Mediation

Mediation is a method of settling disputes with the assistance of a neutral mediator who helps the parties talk about the problem in a mutually respectful manner and work toward a creative solution acceptable to all.

Mediation is used in
many kinds of disputes including neighborhood problems, consumer,
family, landlord and tenant, small
claims, mobile home parks and marinas

Mediation works because it is:

  •  Voluntary and confidential

  •  Informal and free of legal red tape

  •  Open to creative solutions

  •  Affordable and convenient

  •  Everyone's voice is heard

  •  Empowering for all involved

LCDR's mediators are trained to understand the source of conflicts and identify a path away from adversarial positions toward collaboration and agreement. We provide training in Basic Mediation. Contact us for more information.

We provide community education in effective conflict management by teaching skills in communication, collaboration, negotiation and problem-solving. Our goal is to empower people of all ages to create agreement, build inclusive non-violent communities and peacefully resolve their own conflicts.

Our community education is available to all groups or organizations.
